about

These tracks were recorded in Louisville, KY where we were guests of the local improvisational group Ut Gret. Kenan Lawler played with us on track four.

The cover art for this album is provided courtesy of the Armadillidium vulgare, a type of isopod commonly known as roly-poly or doodlebug creatures. They take on this posture when they feel threatened, quite unlike the opossum, which scurries away or bears its mouthful of sharp teeth. Honestly, without seeing this curling take place, it is difficult to tell whether this Armadillidium vulgare is alive or dead.
